Meet Sarah Edwards

Sarah Edwards is an artist. She’s also been called a brand whisperer. An influencer. An entrepreneur. A connector. An event producer. Even Queen of the Minneapolis Fashion Scene. After founding Some Great People and Fashion Week MN, Sarah merged her businesses into Haus of Sonder and became a subsidiary of fast-growing advertising and media agency Media Bridge in 2023.

As for her personal story, we’ll let a recent feature story on Sarah do the talking:

“Raised in the northern Minnesota town of Grand Rapids, Edwards was a relative outsider when she first made her way to Minneapolis in her early 20s. She didn’t necessarily have any crazy dreams. But she did possess a deep longing for culture—to be around artists and creatives and marvel at the weird and interesting ways they see the world.

“Despite having little money, Edwards began tossing around the idea of hosting events that would bring all of these fascinating people together. With a loan from her mom of about $250, she barely pulled off the solo organization of her first fashion show in 2010, titled ‘I Am MPLS.’

“Edwards’ idea of making the fashion scene more approachable by replacing runway models with the fascinating creatives turned out to be what the city was craving. She waited anxiously the night the doors opened at Fine Line, wondering if anyone would show up. The event sold out.

“Flash forward to today, and Edwards has become not just an entrepreneur but a true community connector, the kind of person known for knowing everyone.
